INTRODUCTION

In Unit G324, Advanced portfolio. We had a main task which was to create a music video along with two ancillary tasks which were to create a digipak and a tour poster. The music video promotion required us to therefore create advertising and promotion for the same musical artists across two other platforms- the digipak and the Tour poster. Both of my Print products have synergy and a clear defined house style to our groups music video and I believe this is important because it makes clear our branding identity and helps the audience recognise the artist easier.. I have mainly done this by having similar filters, colour theme, typography and mise-en-scene running across all of them.

Our house style consists of

  • blue purple and pink theme

  • Video vhs playback style

  • bright coloured boxes like using in the music video for the bridge.

We decided we wanted this to be our style to make sure that it attracts the audience of the audience by having bright colours and following a narrative. However, we decided to use a recording playback filter to give a more retro effect to attract the more teenage- young adults as we thought they would be interested by this. We made these decisions based off our questionnaire results form the researching and planning stage.
